Looking to borrow eTitles in your browser? Visit the OverDrive website or the Libby website.

The Libby app offers thousands of eBooks and eAudiobooks, from the latest crime thrillers to timeless classics. Start downloading for free straight away — all you need is a library card.

The OverDrive app will no longer be available to download from Apple, Google Play or Microsoft Store from February 2022.

  • Current OverDrive app users can continue to use the app, but it will be unavailable to new users
  • All users can continue to use, borrow and open titles from the OverDrive website via a web browser
  • You can still access thousands of eLibrary titles using the Libby app

How it works

Your library card gives you free access to the Libby app, which allows you to download eBooks and eAudio to your phone or tablet.

You can also read the same titles in your browser (such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox) from the Overdrive website, and plug your eReader into your PC to transfer eBooks across to an eReader, such as a Kobo or Nook.

You can borrow a maximum of 10 eBook and eAudiobook titles on the Libby app for up to 3 weeks.

Unfortunately, the service isn’t compatible with Kindle eReaders, but it will work with a Fire tablet.
