Menopause & Me

About Menopause & Me

More information about Menopause & Me, our health and wellbeing project working with Suffolk Mind to support people in Suffolk experiencing the menopause.

What is Menopause & Me?

Menopause & Me provides support and advice for people who are experiencing the menopause. The project is delivered by Suffolk Libraries in partnership with Suffolk Mind, and funded by the Department of Health & Social Care.

By working with local businesses and people with lived experience of the menopause, Menopause & Me will increase awareness and understanding of the impact of the menopause and make sure everyone in Suffolk feels supported.

Key elements of the project

Suffolk Libraries will collaborate with Suffolk Mind and other health partners to:

  • Work with local employers to encourage them to sign a pledge to support their employees experiencing the menopause or perimenopause
  • Support people with lived experience of the menopause to help develop ways of supporting themselves and others
  • Produce a range of dedicated free resources, all designed to support employers and people who may be affected by the menopause.

For more information on this project, email the project co-ordinators at menopauseandme@suffolklibraries.co.uk.

How to get involved

For employers

Sign our Employer's Pledge

If you're a local employer, or work for a Suffolk-based business and your workplace could benefit from menopause training, sign our pledge to show your commitment to making a more menopause-friendly workplace to better support members of your team.

By signing the pledge, you will receive fully-funded training provided by Suffolk Mind, and you'll be added to our virtual wall of pledged partners. You'll also receive a Menopause & Me stamp for your website to showcase your pledge.

M-Powered Menopause Groups

M-powered Groups are friendly and informal social groups for anyone experiencing the perimenopause or menopause. These groups, hosted in libraries, offer the chance to speak with other people who might be experiencing the same things as you and give each other support, encouragement and understanding.
