OM chanting and British Sign Language social group

Wed 22 May 2024 Sudbury Library

Join an informal social group at Sudbury Library every third Wednesday of the month to practice OM chanting and British Sign Language.

OM chanting is a technique used to promote relaxation and calmness. Join us with an experienced practitioner and find peace in a calm environment.

OM chanting works in its simplicity: it clears emotional and mental blockages. It helps with anxiety and to calm the mind. It is not a meditation session.

Afterwards, for those who wish to continue, we will start our informal British Sign Language social group for beginners. Come along and learn the basics in how to communicate with others using hand signs in a friendly and small group - all levels of experience welcome! We will learn some tips to improve our visual perception, memory and cultural aspects of the Deaf community. Please, email to book your place at sudbury.library@suffolklibraries.co.uk

Please note, you are free to leave after the OM chanting but we expect all those wanting to do the British Sign Language to participate in the chanting first to get the absolute most out of this unique offer.
