Textiles artist Clare Sams will be hosting a drop in recycled textiles and collage workshop to celebrate the centenary of Ipswich County Library. The session will explore the historical painted glass windows in Ipswich County Library's Northgate Reading Room. Using recycled fabrics and stitch techniques, participants will create their very own window-inspired artworks. All equipment and materials provided.
Open to all. Suitable for ages 10 years and upwards.
Clare Sams is Suffolk Libraries Environmentalist in Residence. The purpose of the Environmentalist in Residence project is to explore environmental responsibility with libraries and their communities, using creativity as an instrument to provide environmental education and awareness in ways that are accessible and fun.
This event i s part of Ipswich 100, a celebration of Ipswich Library's centenary. Suffolk Libraries is working in partnership with Suffolk Archives to host this event.
