John Osborne presents: Circled in the Radio Times at Glemsford

Glemsford Library will be welcoming comedian John Osborne for a special storytelling show at Glemsford Village Hall on Saturday 24 February.

John will be visiting Glemsford Village Hall to perform his one-man show entitled ‘Circled in the Radio Times', a brand-new comedy show about something everyone can relate to: television.

Tickets are £10 each which includes a glass of wine upon arrival. Tickets are available to purchase from Glemsford Library or online via Eventbrite.

John Osborne is a Radio 4 writer, poet and comedian, best known for his radio show ‘John Peel’s Shed’ - a ‘love letter to radio’ created using a box of records owned by John Peel.

The story begins when John is given a box of old copies of the Radio Times that once belonged to his grandparents. He pieces together their lives by the shows that they lovingly circled in each edition. However, the show is not just about that box of Radio Times, but the role television plays in our lives and the changing ways all of us watch TV.

This event has been organised in collaboration with the Friends of Glemsford Library and Creative Arts East.
