Nicci French is the pseudonym for crime writing husband and wife duo Sean French and Nicci Gerrard. Both journalists, the pair met when working at the New Statesman and married in 1990.
They now live and work in Suffolk, having published twenty bestselling novels in thirty-one languages. Blue Monday became the first story in their popular thriller series following fictional psychologist Frieda Klein.
Named a New York Times Best Book to Give, House of Correction was their most recent novel which moved away from the Frieda Klein series to focus on the murder trial of Tabitha. Another novel, The Other Side of the Door, is expected to be released in April 2021.
Sean and Nicci have said they hope readers see their work as one writer, Nicci French, ‘who has her own imagination and her own strange talent which is different from either of us.’
