Workshop includes a free lunch, drinks, snacks and festive hot chocolate, plus other goodies!
About the workshop:
Award-winning poet and artist Chris James will lead a workshop to create a 2024 calendar made up of beautiful Suffolk landscapes through all four seasons. Using coloured paper, scissors and glue, we'll create landscapes filled with trees, birds and snow to inspire us for the year ahead. We'll also choose a season to write a poem about, and Chris will give us hints and tips for creating something evocative and memorable. We'll have break-out sessions with music, yoga and a brain gym to get us all in the right frame of mind.
About Chris James:
Christopher James is a local poet, author, musician and artist. He's won the National Poetry Competition, The Bridport Prize and the Suffolk Poetry Competition. He's also written three Sherlock Holmes novels, including The Adventure of the Ruby Elephants. A Graduate of the MA in Creative Writing at University of East Anglia, he's also written plays, songs, and two musicals. He plays guitar, ukulele and piano, creates paper collage art, and had led many workshops for young people and adults.
About Blank Page:
The Blank Page project is an exciting new programme providing free high-quality creative activities for young people, run by local artists in libraries during the school holidays. Funded by the Department for Education’s Holiday Activity Fund.
