Art Space - printmaking workshop

Every Friday Gainsborough Community Library 16:00 ‐ 18:00 Free entry

Learn about printmaking with Art Space, a workshop series for 12 to 16 year olds!

Whether you are just starting out or the next Van Gogh, build new skills and try out new art forms from textiles to sculpture.

In this six-week series at Gainsborough Community Library, participants will have the opportunity to explore two historic printmaking techniques - cyanotype and lino print. Printmaking artist Sarah Nkugwa will be joining the sessions on 25 March and 20 May.

Art Space workshops will run during term time.

  • Week 1: 25 March (joined by artist Sarah Nkugwa)

  • Week 2: 1 April

  • Week 3: 8 April

  • Week 4: 6 May

  • Week 5: 13 May

  • Week 6: 20 May (joined by artist Sarah Nkugwa)

Art Space participants do not have to attend every workshop, but it is recommended that they join all or as many as possible to get the best out of it.

About Sarah Nkugwa

Sarah Nkugwa is a contemporary printmaker, graphic designer and educator in Suffolk. She is the owner of Pop Print Studio and has a main focus of traditional printmaking with a specialism in screen printing. Her work is inspired by human connection, positivity and imperfection.

Sarah's visual language is bright and playful, remixing form and using brush strokes to create abstract compositions and embracing mistakes and flaws to create something unique every time.
