Schools of Suffolk Fundraising Week

Get your school involved with our first annual fundraising event to help improve reading initiatives in schools and support children's literacy.

Sign-ups for this year are now closed. Thank you to all schools who signed up to fundraise with us.

Suffolk Libraries is inviting schools across Suffolk to join us in a week of collaborative fundraising from 23 May to 27 May for our first annual Schools of Suffolk week.

What is the Schools of Suffolk fundraising week?

Schools of Suffolk (SOS) is a collaborative fundraiser to help improve reading initiatives in schools and support children's literacy and wellbeing across the county.

Schools of Suffolk has been designed by a former primary school librarian who understands the importance of creating a vibrant and interactive school library to inspire a love of reading.

The theme of our first annual SOS fundraiser is the Platinum Jubilee. Join in with our Right Royal Readathon to celebrate!

Why fundraise with Suffolk Libraries?

We are a charity supporting literacy and wellbeing, and reduce social isolation for communities across Suffolk.

We help run the Summer Reading Challenge every year. The Summer Reading Challenge is a fun and engaging way of maintaining children’s reading skills over the summer holidays.

Our libraries run free activities for children which encourage creativity and help them gain confidence. Our activities range from craft sessions, story times and workshops, to activities for people with special needs.
