The judges for the 2019 New Angle Prize have selected their shortlist and once again, you’re invited to vote for your favourite in the Readers’ Choice competition.
The New Angle Prize, organised by the Ipswich Institute, is awarded biennially for works of literary merit associated with or influenced by the region of East Anglia. It is sponsored by Gotelee Solicitors and Scrutton Bland Financial Services. While the overall winner is decided by a panel of judges, the Readers’ Choice award is chosen by the public and announced at the same award ceremony at Hintlesham Golf Club on Wednesday 3 July.
The six titles on the shortlist are:
- Low Country: Brexit on the Essex Coast, by Tom Bolton
- Self & I, by Matthew De Abaitua
- All Among the Barley, by Melissa Harrison
- Devoured, by Anna Mackin
- The Wound Register, by Esther Morgan
- The Great Level, by Stella Tillyard
You can vote for your choice online. Voting closes on Tuesday 4 June and you can enter your name into a draw to win two free tickets for the awards dinner.
