Join us at Leiston Library for our Tonic: Singing for Health sessions for adults! These sessions are free, 90-minute weekly singing workshops particularly suited for people living with a variety of health challenges. Led by a singing for health specialist, each workshop will include breathing exercises, gentle vocal warm ups and a range of songs, old and new.
These sessions will take place on Wednesdays from 10.30AM to 12PM.
Research has shown that singing regularly with others has many health benefits including:
- Improvement of cardiorespiratory functions & immune system
- Reduction of stress hormone levels
- Increased feelings of connection with others
We always finish with social time over a complimentary cuppa. All activities are optional, and it’s fine to join in as much or as little as you want to. Guide dogs and companions are warmly welcomed to join us.
These sessions have been organised in collaboration with Cohere Arts.
