Have you ever wondered what makes someone pick up a pen (or a laptop) and start writing a book? For retired firefighter Russell Webb, it was the profound personal loss of his wife to breast cancer that led to his transformation into an author and mental health advocate. His transition from combating physical fires to confronting the emotional turmoil of grief reflects a significant shift in his life, from directly saving lives, to learning to share his vulnerabilities in order to help others.
This event is free to attend but booking in advance is required as places are limited.
Drawing deeply from his own experiences, Russell penned Love Beyond Love, a memoir that is as much about love and loss as it is about resilience and recovery. His message is clear: no matter how insurmountable the challenges may seem, there is always hope and a way forward.
Inspired by the healing process of writing his memoir, Russell founded the Fram Writers Group, meeting once a month at Framlingham Library, and he is currently working on another book. In addition to his literary work, Russell has become a prominent figure in mental health advocacy.
All royalties from the sales of Russell’s book are donated to a cancer charity and to The Fire Fighters Charity. His story is uplifting, inspiring, and rooted in hope and healing.
