Looking to keep busy this December? Our online events are here to keep you entertained throughout the month.
1. Socialize with a virtual tea dance hosted by Britten Pears Arts
Take part in a Virtual Tea Dance hosted by Britten Pears Arts. Suffolk Libraries is also hosting a post-dance social gathering for people who usually attend our library activities to give you a chance to reconnect or meet new people. You can also request a special Tea Dance care pack when you sign up.
2. Take part in our book group
Our DiscoverReads book group will be having a live online discussion on Wednesday 9th December from 4.30pm about chosen November titles Sal by Mick Kitson and Tidelands by Philippa Gregory. Come along even if you haven't read the books to meet new people and talk about all things books!
3. Sing along with Santa
Indulge in a bit of festive spirit with our Singalong with Santa events for parents and children to enjoy. 'Santa' will be playing music on his guitar and singing all the best loved Christmas songs - book in advance to get a shoutout!
4. Join the fight for women's rights
Author Syd Moore, best known for her Essex Witch Museum Mysteries, will be talking to us on Thursday 10 December about the history of female persecution all the way up to modern day female stereotypes. This event is part of our Unfinished Business exhibition.
5. Enjoy a Christmas story with author Karen Swan
Bestselling author Karen Swan will be chatting to us and answering questions about December's book group pick Christmas in the Snow, followed by a reading from her latest title Together by Christmas and a live Q&A session.
