The Moomins are coming! Free theatrical experiences for children this summer

Suffolk Libraries, the charity which runs the library service in Suffolk, is delighted to be bringing the interactive children’s show Mischief and Mystery in Moomin Valley to libraries in Ipswich this summer.

Chantry, Ipswich County and Gainsborough libraries are hosting free performances of a theatrical Moomins experience for children aged 4-7 presented by Get Lost and Found.

Based on the much-loved Moominland novels by Tove Jansson, this gentle heart-warming show tells the story of a year in Moominvalley and the adventures of Moomintroll and his friend Snufkin.

Audience members can enjoy interactive elements including having a snowball fight, toasting marshmallows around the fire and going sea-swimming.

The event is being run in collaboration with Suffolk Archives' Marvellous and Mischievous exhibition and is supported by Arts Council England.

The events are taking place as follows:

The events are all free to attend and tickets are available online via Eventbrite.

Suffolk Archives are also hosting Moomins events at The Hold in Ipswich on Thursday 11 August. Tickets are free to book with the option of purchasing a children's lunch box for £4.00.
