Suffolk Libraries announces second Autumn online book festival

Suffolk Libraries, the charity which runs the county’s library service, is hosting a full week of live online author interviews taking place from 12 – 18 September.

Thousands of people have enjoyed our previous online author events, with many interviews being available to watch on our YouTube channel. This year’s line-up includes a range of different authors including Elly Griffiths, Jill Mansell, Jack Jordan and more.

All events will take place online through Zoom and will include a live Q&A where the audience can ask questions and contribute to the discussion.

Tickets are available to book online for free with an optional donation.

The full line-up is as follows:

  • Thriller novelist Ruth Ware – Monday 12 September at 7PM
  • Internationally bestselling author Jack Jordan – Tuesday 13 September at 7PM
  • Crime writer Chris Carter – Wednesday 14 September at 7PM
  • Bestselling romance author Jill Mansell – Thursday 15 September at 7PM
  • Murder-mystery author Janice Hallett – Friday 16 September at 7PM
  • Suspense novelist Sarah Pearse – Saturday 17 September at 7PM
  • Award-winning crime writer Elly Griffiths – Sunday 18 September at 7PM

Lisa Brennan, Content & Reader Development Librarian at Suffolk Libraries, said:

“We are delighted that so many extraordinary and bestselling authors will be joining us for our 2nd Autumn online book festival which starts on Monday 12 of September. To ensure the festival is accessible to everyone, tickets are free yet for those that can and would like to, there is an option to add a donation to support the important work Suffolk Libraries does for our communities.”

Ruth Ware and Elly Griffiths have recently both written short stories for the new Miss Marple book, which will be discussed in their interviews. Last month, Janice Hallett won the CWA New Blood Dagger award for her debut novel, The Appeal.

For those who missed out on last year’s book festival, all our author interviews are available to watch on this YouTube playlist.
