Submissions to open for aspiring authors to get published

Suffolk Libraries will be opening submissions for aspiring authors to get their work published online.

This call-out is part of Suffolk Libraries’ Suffolk Writes project and will officially open on 1 November - which is also National Authors Day.

Participants can submit any short stories or poems that they own the copyright to.

An anthology of all accepted work will be published to Suffolk Libraries’ OverDrive platform where it will be able to be read by Suffolk Libraries customers as an eBook which will be launched in January 2022.

Lisa Brennan, Content and Reader Development Librarian at Suffolk Libraries said:

“I’m excited to open up submissions for our new annual anthology! Each submission will be read by one of our fantastic volunteers and added to an eBook which will be launched in the New Year. If you’re a budding writer and would like to share your work to be included in this great project, we would love to hear from you!”

Once submissions open, those interested have until the end of November to submit their short stories or poems by emailing their work to suffolkwrites@suffolklibraries.co.uk.
