As part of Suffolk Libraries’ reopening plans, library customers can now access the reservation service again.
Almost all libraries have now reopened in Suffolk and are offering a select and collect service with customers contacting library staff to order items before they visit.
Reservations are also now available from today (Thursday 23 July) meaning customers can request specific books and other items from any library across the county and pick these up at their local library or the mobile library. Customers can now get access to titles from across the library catalogue, although due to the quarantining of books it may take a little longer for items to become available.
Customers will be notified automatically when reservations they’ve ordered are available from their local library. Customers of Brandon Library and Kesgrave Library should contact the library directly to make an appointment to collect their reservations.
The success of select and collect means Suffolk Libraries will also continue to provide this service for the foreseeable future.
Saxmundham and Great Cornard libraries cannot reopen for the time being but both are planning a local delivery service for customers who are unable to get to another library.
Suffolk Libraries will be announcing the reintroduction of other services in the near future.
