Newmarket Library is due to re-open its doors for customers on Tuesday 13 April in a new temporary location while building work is taking place in the main library.
Library staff and stock are currently in the process of relocating to a new temporary location at Unit 5 in the Guineas Shopping Centre in Newmarket. The main library building is located in Unit 1a.
The ongoing building work, which began while the library was closed during lockdown, has meant that the library has not been available for customers to pick up and return titles since the beginning of the year.
From 13 April, customers will be able to collect titles that have been reserved on our catalogue and be able to request bundles of titles using our Select & Collect system. From 20 April, and PC usage, printing and photocopying will also be available. Browsing is set to return from 27 April.
Appointments will be required to visit the library during this time, which can be made by contacting the library on 01638 661216.
We'd like to thank our customers for their patience while work has been carried out on the library and ask for you to bear with us as we adapt to our new space.
