Suffolk Libraries is reintroducing more services over the next few weeks.
Most libraries will begin to offer bookable slots to use our computers from the week beginning 29 March. You will need to call your library directly to book a slot. Please wait until your library is offering the service before calling them. You can check this on the branch pages. You’ll also be able to use printers and scanners too.
Libraries will also re-open for socially distanced, restricted browsing during the week beginning 12 April. The mobile library service will also resume from Monday 12 April.
The exceptions are Saxmundham, Newmarket, Haverhill and Great Cornard libraries. Browsing and computer use will not return at Saxmundham until the library moves from its temporary base to a new building. Newmarket Library will be operating from a temporary unit in the Guineas Shopping Centre from next week whilst building work is ongoing and will reintroduce browsing on 27 April. Activities and events will not be returning to libraries until June. Haverhill Library will also be undergoing some refurbishment work this month so browsing and IT bookings will return at the end of April. Great Cornard will be reintroducing browsing from 26 April.
For general service updates see our COVID-19 page. Some libraries will be closed on Friday 9 April to allow staff to prepare for the return of browsing.
Suffolk Libraries are continuing to offer a huge range of eLibrary titles. We’re also running free live author talks and fitness and wellbeing events online:
