Imagine That publishers provide books for online library sessions

Suffolk Libraries are very grateful to local publishers Imagine That for kindly donating some of their children’s books for library staff to use in their online storytimes.

Copies of 'Things I love by Bear' by Susie Linn and Alex Willmore and ‘Over the Rainbow’ by Georgina Wren were sent to staff who work at Woodbridge Library, Newmarket Library, Kesgrave Library, Stowmarket and Gainsborough libraries. Libraries have been using them for recent online storytime sessions which have been shared and streamed on social media.

Over the Rainbow is a soothing and colourful book for very young children. It features a colourful glittery rainbow which shimmers and sparkles to entertain babies and young children. Imagine That chose the book as rainbows have been a symbol everyone has identified with during lockdown.

Things I Love by Bear is all about Bear and his everyday love for his parents and also wearing underpants on his head!

If you’d like to share the storytimes with your children you can access the videos via the links below: * Stowmarket Library * Gainsborough Library * Newmarket Library * Woodbridge Library

Although libraries are reopening next week Suffolk Libraries will still be running as many online activities as possible as it won’t be possible to resume library activities for a while. You can see an extensive list of online activities on our website or on our Youtube channel.
