Glemsford Library to temporarily move to Old School House

From next week, Glemsford Library will be operating from a temporary location whilst building work is carried out in the Village Hall complex where the library is based.

The library is currently closed but will reopen on Thursday 7 July at 2PM in The Old School House, and is likely to be based there until September.

The Old School House is located opposite the Village Hall driveway, behind No. 2 Tye Green. Parking will still be available in the Village Hall car park.

The temporary library opening hours will be:

• Tuesdays - 10AM to 1PM, and 2PM to 5PM

• Thursdays - 2PM to 5PM

• Fridays - 10AM to 1PM, and 2PM to 5PM

• Sundays - 11AM to 3PM

All library groups and activities will continue as normal in the new venue. There will be a slightly reduced selection of books on offer, but customers can still place orders via staff or the Suffolk Libraries website and collect them from the new venue.

The library will also be offering the select and collect service which was popular during lockdown. 

Any charges for overdue books during this time will waived and Suffolk Libraries apologies for any inconvenience to customers.
