- World Music Day, October each year at Ipswich County library featuring many local bands and performers
The African-Caribbean collection is located at County Library Ipswich. Check the online catalogue to find out what books and DVDs are available.
The collection consists of fiction, classic literature, and non-fiction written by Black authors, music, DVDs, and a collection of children's books held in the children's library.
Newspapers and Magazines
We also hold a collection of popular Black magazines and newspapers in the Ipswich County Reference Library on the first floor: Black Hair and Beauty, Caribbean Times, Ebony, Echoes and The Voice (Voice online)
Online newspapers from around the world can also be accessed from any Suffolk library eg Jamaica Observer, Trinidad Express and the Trinidad Guardian
