Sunday Story Time and Crafts at Bury St Edmunds library

Story time at 10.00am followed by crafts for young children accompanied by an adult.

This week we will looking at the book 'The Little Rabbit who liked to say Moo' by Jonathan Allen, adding to our collage of a countryside scene and doing word searches and colouring.

Belle from Beauty and the Beast will be at Beccles Library and ready to talk about her story, play some magical games and dance and pose for photos with children. Cost: £1.50

Booking strictly required

Suitable for ages 2 - 11 (parents to accompany all children)

Each child will have the chance to pose for pictures with Belle

Why not come along in your own Princess dress!

Beccles Library will be able to take and print photos at a charge of £2.00 each

Information event for visually impaired people

Find about the services we provide for people with visual impairments, including audio books, electronic audio books and large print books.

This event is open to anyone with a visual impairment, or who knows someone with a visual impairment.

It's a part of the RNIB's ‘Make a Noise in Libraries Fortnight’, which promotes library services for blind and partially sighted people.

Local organisations including East Suffolk Association for the Blind, Age UK, and Action for Blind People will also be at the event.

What you need to do to join in

Get a copy of the current book - 'Of Mice and Men' by John Steinbeck
Read it before the walk...but don't worry if you don't quite finish it before the walk.
Turn up outside Saxmundham Library with £1 contibution to The Friends of Saxmundham Library.
Enjoy the walk and talking about the book.
Arrive back at the library for a cuppa.

Dogs and children are also welcome to walk with us.
